Abstract

Traffic congestion that occurs on Jalan Ade Irma Nasution is caused by a lot of parking on the road. If the traffic flow is jammed, then the mobility of the community will also be disrupted, and this congestion will definitely have a negative impact on the community. By analyzing the causes of traffic congestion on Jalan Ade Irma Nasution using the 1997 MKJI method and to analyze the optimal level of service so that congestion does not occur again on the Ade Irma Nasution road section. Looking for congestion problems that occur on Jalan Ade Irma Nasution, Palembang City. Based on the results of the analysis in the field, the causes of congestion that occur on Jalan Ade Irma Nasution Palembang can be concluded. The level of service from the average daily traffic results shows the condition (E) if there are vehicles parked on the road, the behavior of drivers who often park on the shoulder of the road is irregular and also the number of vehicles entering and leaving the office area Keywords: Congestion, Traffic, Ade Irma Nasution Street
