Abstract
The growth and development of the construction industry in Indonesia is quite rapid. The large number of uses of concrete in construction has resulted in an increase in the need for concrete materials, thus triggering river sand miners as one of the ingredients for forming concrete, this causes a decrease in the amount of natural resources available for concrete purposes and environmental destruction. One alternative that can be used is iron sand which is expected to make the concrete more dense, strong and durable. The purpose of this research is to analyze concrete using iron sand and additives at the age of 3,7, and 28 days of concrete. This study aims to determine the effect of adding iron sand and viscocrete to the compressive strength of K-300 concrete, using a cube-shaped specimen of 15cm x 15cm x 15cm as many as 36 samples, the quality of the concrete was tested at the age of 3, 7, and 28 days The results of this study showed that the effect of the addition of iron sand and viscocrete on variations of iron sand 2% and viscocrete 1.5% obtained the optimum value with a compressive strength of 305.35 Kg/Cm2and 24.84 Mpa, and the variation of iron sand 4% and viscocrete 1 ,5% obtained a minimum value with a compressive strength of 277.91 Kg/Cm2 and 22.61 Mpa at the age of 28 days Keywords : Concrete, Compressive strength, Iron sand, Viscocrete
