Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of piles is a very calculated choice in construction, judging from what construction will be built, the soil conditions at the site, and the efficiency of equipment mobilization are one of the reasons why this type is used. The foundation is the lowest part of the building (substructure) and is located in the ground, which serves to support the loads of the building working on it, and its own weight to the supporting soil layers (bearing layers). Determining the efficiency of the variations that the researchers made in this study, or which can be an option/replacement for the group foundation on the Old Keramasan Bridge project. This East Sumatran Cross Road Preservation Activity is a variation that has a carrying capacity value greater than the existing carrying capacity (diameter 50 cm). ). The method used in this study is the manual calculation using the Vesic method (1977) and the Vesic method with allpile software. The results of this study are the carrying capacity of the group pile foundation at P01 empirically Vesic is 4091.57 kN and Vesic software allpile is 4048.69 kN and after that it is varied with different pile sizes using allpile software, the most efficient value is obtained when it is used to replace group foundations. is a variation of 400 mm in diameter with a depth of 25 meters with as many as 4 pillars with a volume of 13,062 m³ with a difference of 27.6% with the volume of the existing pile.
