Abstract

Building is a physical form resulting from construction work that is integrated with its domicile, partially or wholly located above and/or in the land and/or water, which functions as a place for humans to carry out their activities, either for housing or residence, religious activities, business, social, cultural and special activities (Law No. 28 of 2002). In general, there are 4 loads experienced in the building, namely dead load (dead load); live load (wind load); wind load and earthquake load. The four forces cause the building to experience bending, shear/fracture, torsion and buckling or a combination of the four structural element failure models. Failure of structural elements causes the building to decline, crack and even collapse. To identify structural failures, the SAP 2000 program can be used as an initial reference in structural planning The output results indicate that the building is said to be able to withstand the load of the existing structure. In order to make an economical design, the structural design must eliminate several factors such as wind loads and earthquake loads. Variation or substitution of the size of the structural elements cannot be carried out based on the calculation results that the structural elements already have the appropriate size with almost the same amount of reinforcement in each structural element. Reducing the amount of reinforcement in beams measuring 30 x 60 can be done considering the amount of reinforcement that is very far between the design drawing and the results of planning with SAP 2000.
