Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the communication media for extension workers in agricultural extension during the COVID-19 pandemic era and to determine agricultural extension activities during the COVID-19 pandemic era. This research was conducted in Durian Daun Village, Suak Tapeh District, Banyuasin Regency from January 2022 to March 2022. The research method used is the survey method. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling and census techniques (saturated sampling). Data collection methods used in this study were interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The data processing method used in this study was carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data analysis used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the communication media for Agricultural instructors in the era of the covid-19 pandemic was through social media, namely Whatsapp and Youtube. Meanwhile, agricultural extension activities in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, the face-to-face method has decreased and has turned into an online method through social media.
