Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the perception of irrigated rice farmers on the program of combined farmer groups and the benefits felt by farmers as members of the combined farmer group. This research was carried out in Sindang Sari Village, Lempuing district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in March 2022 - May 2022. The research method used is phenomenology. The sampling method used in this study is the simple random sampling method (randomly). Data collection methods used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data processing and analysis method used is descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results showed that the perception of irrigated rice farmers on the Combined farmer group program in Sindang Sari Village received a positive response, namely most of the farmers received well about the Gapoktan program that had been implemented, so that farmers felt helped in the needs of farmers' rice farming. Then the benefits that are felt from a social point of view, namely by participating in Gapoktan can create cooperation between members that can improve harmony, obtain non-formal education for farmers to achieve goals, create mutual cooperation among members, and increase farmer participation in Gapoktan activities. Meanwhile, the perceived benefits from an economic perspective can increase farmers' farm income, assist farmers in providing agricultural facilities such as providing seeds, fertilizers and others.
