Abstract
This research is a concrete research using shell powder as an additive to sand and bagasse ash as an additive to cement mixture. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of shells powder and bagasse ash on the compressive strength of concrete. This study used an experimental method with a total 49 specimens, the specimens consisted of normal concrete + 5% constant sugar bagasse ash as an additive to a mixture of cement and shells powder 2%3%4%5%6%7% as an additive sand. Each variation of the concrete mixture made 7 test objects, the test object used was a cylinder with a size of 15 x 30 cm. The compressive strength test is carried out at the age 28 days. From testing the compressive strength of medium quality concrete, it is found that the compessive strength value of concrete is still good for the test object in the conditions obtained from the variation of the BN + mixture ( CK 2%-4%), because concluded that the mixed content of 5% bagasse ash variation obtained a compressive strength of 28,74 Mpa at the age of 28 days.
