Abstract
Zeolite is a hydrated silica alumina compound containing cations or alkaline earth. Meanwhile, most of the chalk is made of about 65%-75% limestone, namely calcium carbonate and its accompanying materials in the form of silica, alumina, magnesia and iron oxide. The purpose of this study was to determine the compressive strength of concrete by adding a mixture of zeolite and chalk to normal concrete for FC 25 MPa, 28 days. This study used a cylindrical specimen with a height of 30 cm and a diameter of 15 cm with seven variations and a total of thirty-five specimens. For each variation of five specimens, the seven variations are normal concrete, concrete with added chalk 5%, and zeolite 4%, 5%, 6%, 7% and 8%. The test was carried out at the age of 28 days with the planned concrete quality being FC 25 MPa Based on the results of research that has been carried out in the laboratory, the optimum results of the average concrete compressive strength of normal concrete + chalk 5% + zeolite 4% are obtained with the results of 28.34 MPa and the compressive strength of characteristic concrete of 26.95 MPa. This condition is the most optimum condition with an increase in the percentage of compressive strength of normal concrete of 6.94%.
