Abstract

Sriwijaya Palm Oil Indonesia is a company engaged in oil palm plantations and palm oil processing that produces palm oil and palm kernel. PT. Sriwijaya Palm Oil Indonesia always prioritizes product quality with the best quality, with a total production of 12,803.80 tons per year and total product losses of 201,053 tons. In this study, the Lean Six Sigma method was used as an effort to minimize the number of losses of crude palm oil and eliminate waste during production. The results of the identification of factors causing waste in the production process of crude palm oil products are caused by machine, human, material, method, and environmental factors. The DPMO value and the sigma level of crude palm oil products in 2020 have a DPMO value of 78,513 or a sigma level of 2.92. Actions that can be taken with the Lean Six Sigma approach are to make improvements using the FMEA method which is focused on the types of product losses that have the highest RPN value of 240 for regular machine maintenance
