Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit terbanyak pada lansia berdasarkan Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013 adalah hipertensi. Penurunan fungsi fisiologis berdampak pada menurunnya aktivitas fisik sehingga kemungkinan untuk terjadi obesitas lebih besar pada lansia. Penderita hipertensi terbanyak terdapat di Puskesmas Pasar Prabumulih pada tahun 2019. Obesitas umum dapat dinilai dengan menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan obesitas sentral dengan lingkar perut. Penelitian cross sectional ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dan lingkar perut dengan tekanan darah pada lansia di Puskesmas Pasar Prabumulih. Terdapat 92 responden pada penelitian ini yang terdiri atas perempuan (65,2%) dan laki-laki (34,8%) pada usia terbanyak 60-69 tahun (87,0%), terdapat obesitas I paling banyak (38,0%) dengan lingkar perut paling banyak ≥90 cm (59,8%), serta tekanan darah hipertensi stage 1 paling banyak (39,1%). Pada penelitian ini didapatkan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dengan tekanan darah sistolik (p = 0,008 ; r = 0,276) dan diastolik (p = 0,023 ; r = 0,237) dan lingkar perut dengan tekanan darah sistolik (p = 0,001 ; r = 0,343 ) dan diastolik (p = 0,002 ; r = 0,323 ). Perlu dilakukan peningkatan peran serta dan perilaku gerakan kesehatan masyarakat dalam menjaga dan mengontrol obesitas dan hipertensi.
