Abstract

Kata Kunci :Heat Stress, Kejadian Dehidrasi, Pekerja Outdoor ABSTRACT Heat stress is a combination of the body's metabolic heat and environmental factors (air temperature, humidity, air flow rate, heat radiation temperature). The effect of this heat stress can be in the form of sweating, this condition is caused due to fluid loss through evaporation if the conditions of loss or loss of water or excessive body fluids and fluid intake are not replaced can cause dehydration which can have an impact on the occupational health of outdoor workers. The type of research used is analytic observational with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The population of this study were all outdoor parking workers and security guards at Muhammadiyah Hospital in Palembang. Sampling with the total sampling method and obtained 46 samples that meet the inclusion criteria and do not meet the exclusion criteria. The sample of outdoor workers with heat stress exposure is 43.5% of workers and 67.4% were dehydrated. There is a significant relationship between heat stress and the incidence of dehydration in outdoor parking workers and security guards at Muhammadiyah Palembang Hospital with a p-value of 0.009 (P<0.05).
