Abstract
In the industrial era 4.0, which is familiar with information and communication technology, this has an impact on the world of education. The technology is expected to be able to foster student interest in understanding subject matter such as biology. Based on the results of the analysis of the needs of students and teachers on the circulation system material that contains abstract concepts so that students' scores on the material are low. This material requires good management in its presentation, because it contains circulation organs that are located in the body and discusses circulation mechanisms that are so complex that it is necessary to use more innovative teaching materials and learning models that give students the opportunity to solve a problem such as the guided inquiry model. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the guided inquiry-based electronic module. The development of teaching materials uses the 4D model, through 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and dessiminate. Data collection used were interviews and questionnaire sheets. Validation results from the validator expert linguist 83%, material 81%, media 81 have good qualifications. while the learning device validators were 96%, learning validators 98% and 94% had very good qualifications. Its practicality is taken from student responses which are divided into 3 stages: the preliminary trial of 81%, the quantitative trial of 89%, and the final trial of 92%, while the learning device validator is 96%, the learning validator is 98% and 94% has very good qualifications. Its practicality is taken from student responses which are divided into 3 stages: the preliminary trial of 81%, the quantitative trial of 89%, and the final trial of 92% showing a positive response. Effectiveness of this inquiry guide-based electronic module can increase learning outcomes seen from Ngain's effort control class 0.38 with moderate criteria and experimental class 0.72 with high criteria. While the psychomotor results of students for 3 meetings, namely the first meeting 77 was categorized as good, the second meeting 91 was categorized as very good, and the third meeting 88 was categorized as very good.
