Abstract

Traffic safety is the state of avoiding everyone from the risk of traffic accidents caused by roads, people, vehicles, and the environment. While traffic accidents are the main indicator of the level of road safety. The factors that cause an accident on the highway are basically caused by the ineffectiveness of a combination of the main factors, namely road conditions, road user behavior, vehicle feasibility, and weather or nature. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, it is found that the dominant factor causing accidents on the Prabumulih- Baturaja Highway at STA 06±450 to STA 07±350 is the road user factor (human) due to lack of understanding of accident-prone areas due to the lack of regulatory warning signs. traffic, consisting of accident-prone warning signs and speed limit warning signs.
