Abstract

To meet the needs of clean water at the PDAM Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Borang, the management of clean water services for the needs of the community is carried out by PDAM Tirta Musi WTP Borang, which is a company owned by the government of Palembang City, the same as PDAMs in other regions in Indonesia, PDAM WTP Forms also have the same problem. The main problem faced is the lack of availability of clean water sources. This can be seen from the many areas in the city of Palembang that have not been served optimally with clean water facilities. An imbalance between the amount of clean water and the number of customers can result in a lack of clean water supply for the community. For this reason, an evaluation of the amount of clean water needed by the PDAM Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Borang is needed. In accordance with the number of active subscribers growing each year. In order to anticipate the need for clean water in the future. In the implementation of the clean water distribution system carried out by the PDAM Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Borang, Palembang city, the source of processing water comes from the Borang and Intek 1 ilir rivers. Based on the results of the calculation of customer growth projections using the Geometric method, the projected number of customers at PDAM WTP Borang in 2021 is 20,788 connections/customers. With a clean water discharge of 240,357 liters/second, the production capacity/pump discharge used at PDAM WTP Borang at this time is 2 pumps of 200 x 2 to 400 liters/second. With the pump discharge capacity, PDAM Tirta Musi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Borang is still able to meet the needs of clean water in 2021 (1 year projection). With a water loss of 48,071 %, the maximum discharge of water needs on the day is 264,393 liters/second and the discharge of water needs at peak hours is 360,536 liters/second. And from the predictions of the analysis I got, the PDAM Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Borang is also still able to meet the needs of clean water until 2028, and cannot meet the needs of clean water in 2029.
