Thesis, English Education Study Program, Sarjana Degree (S1), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang, Advisor (1) Prof. Dr. Indawan, M.Pd., (2) Masagus Sulaiman, S.Pd., M.Pd. Keywords: Language Learning, E-Learning, English Teaching. The title of this thesis is “The Application of E-Learning in English Teaching to the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 3 Palembang”. The objective of this study was to to find out how E-learning is applied in English teaching to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in this study. The sample of this study was the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The researcher applied documentation technique in collecting the data. The researcher collected the data by using observation, interview and questionnaire and analyzed the data by using qualitative data analysis. The points of the question in interview were about perception, implementation, strategies and the solution in applying E-learning. There were five questions out of thirteen statements, such as agree, strongly agree, neutral, disagree, and strongly disagree. The result of the study was that the applications used were Google Meet, WhatsApp, and Google Form. Google Meet used for video conferencing or explaining the lesson. WhatsApp used for giving the instruction and giving the assignment. Google Form used for checking the students attendance. In questionnaire, there were 37.4% questions that the students dominantly respons “agree”, 37% questions to “neutral”, and the “disagree” point had the highest percentage (58.4%) in the item “I think the teacher’s application of e-learning in teaching English is not useful”. In addition, there were 60% students answered “agree” that “I understand the material provided by the teacher during English teaching”. Based on the results stated, the researcher concluded that E-learning was applied by the teacher providing good impact based on the respons of the students.
