Abstract

The flood that occurred on road Seduduk Putih 1, Kelurahan 8 Ilir, Ilir Timur III Subdistrict, Palembang City was a flood caused by high rainfall with a long duration. the existence of a building above the drainage channel and the inability of the channel to accommodate large amounts of water due to sedimentation, garbage that accumulates in channels and wild plants so that water overflows and goes to roads and settlements of surrounding residents. The data collected is data related to the problem, both from primary data and secondary data. Collecting primary data used methods such as direct observation in the field intended to determine the condition of the existing canal, interviews with local residents, collecting theory from the literature, and secondary data from related agencies, namely rainfall data for 5 years, population data and topographic maps. From the results of the analysis of the discharge of the existing canal in the road Seduduk Putih 1 area that there is sediment with a maximum discharge that all Primary, Secondary I, Secondary II, Secondary III, Secondary Iv and Tertiary drainage channels are not feasible and the results of the analysis of the existing canal discharge without sediment with a maximum discharge that the Secondary I, Secondary II, and Primary drainage channels are all feasible, while the Channel III, Secondary IV and Tertiary must be re-planned.
