Abstract
This research the authors take copper wire fiber as an added material to the concrete mixture. This study intends to determine the effect of adding copper wire fiber to the concrete mixture on the compressive strength of k-250 concrete . The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum value of the compressive strength of concrete from the use of Copper Wire Fibers as an added material to the compressive strength of concrete. The percentage of Copper Wire Fiber used varies, ranging from 1.50%, 1.75%, 2%, 2.25%, 2.50%, 2.75%, 3%, 3.25%, 3.50%. Concrete testing will be carried out after the concrete is 28 days old. This study used a cube-shaped specimen with a size (15cm x 15cm x 15cm) and as many as 50 specimens where for each variation there were 5 specimens. From laboratory research, it was found that the highest concrete compressive strength was in the mixture of Normal Concrete + 2% Copper Fiber with an average concrete compressive strength value of 293.76 Kg / cm², in a mixture of Normal Concrete + Copper Fiber 2.50% the value of the compressive strength of concrete began to decrease. from normal concrete with a compressive strength value of 257.04 Kg / cm², while the lowest compressive strength value is in the mixture of Normal Concrete + Copper Fiber 3.50% with a compressive strength value of 193.58 Kg / cm² of concrete.
