Abstract

The coastal waters of Sungai Waru have an important role to fulfill water needs in the rice fields of Sungai Dua Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency and public transportation routes for local residents. Knowledge of tides in general can provide various kinds of information, both for scientific purposes, as well as for broad practical use (Ongkosongo, and Suyarso, 1989). Knowledge of the types of tides that exist in Indonesia can provide an overview of the number of times the tide or ebb, once or twice a day.This can provide an overview that is needed at a location to plan activities.The choice of the Waru Pangkalan Gelebak river as a research location was motivated by its role in meeting the water needs in the rice fields around the river coast.
