Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of exchange rates, interest rates and inflation on the compostie stock price index in developed countries in Asian region. This research was descriptive and associative because the writer wanted to know the relationship between two or more variables. The population in this study were all developed countries in Asian region, then a sample of 3 countries was taken with a purposive sampling method, the taken sample based on certain criteria and then selected based on certainconsiderations tailored to the research objectives. The data in this study were secondary data, while the data collection technique used the documentation method. The analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS software version 22, hypothesis testing used the F test and t test with a significant level of 5%. The joint test results (F test) showed that there was a significant effect between exchange rates, interest rates and inflation on the Composite Stock Price Index in developed countries in Asian Region. The partial test results (t test) showed that ft-om the 3 independent variables showed there was only one variable, namely exchange rate which had a significant effect on the composite stock price index in developed countries in Asian region, while the other two variables, that was interest rates and inflation had no significant effect on the composite stock price index in developed countries in Asian region.
