Abstract

Sialang Village expriences population growth every year , so the need for clean water supply facilities and infrastructure is urgently needed by the local community. With the increasing population in Sialang Village , the populations need for clean water will certainly increase , if an imbalance between the availability of clean water and the population can result in a lack of clean water supply for the community . for that we need an evaluation of the availability and amount of clean water needs by a local drinking water company to meet the needs of the population. Clean water is a basic requirement for every living thing, especially for humans. Population growth taht continues to increase in sialang village will cause an increase in the need for clean water . the need for clean water in sialang village is managed by PDAM Tirta Musi, Palembang City , where the raw water source in taken from the Musi River . the purpose of this study is to calculate the need for clean water 2020. From the results of the sialang village , there is still a water shortage of 3.4 lt/ second or 568.5 m3/day . to meet the need for clean water in 2020 , an increase in water production by 3.4 lt/ second must be carried out so that the initial water production of 58.2 lt/second must be 61.6 lt/ second .
