Abstract

Lubuk Saung Village is experiencing population growth every year, so that the need for clean water supply facilities and infrastructure is urgently needed by the local community. With the increasing population in Lubuk Saung Village, the population's need for clean water will certainly increase, if an imbalance between the availability of clean water and the number of residents can result in a lack of clean water supply for the community. For that we need an evaluation of the availability and amount of clean water needs by a local drinking water company to meet the needs of the population. In fulfilling the need for clean water, the Pangkalan Balai branch of PDAM Tirta Betuah is a company that manages and supplies clean water needs for the Lubuk Saung Village area. PDAM Tirta Betuah Branch Pangkalan Balai Clean water treatment installation sourced from the Musi river with a current capacity of 60 L / s, but many residents in Lubuk Saung Village still use well water for their daily needs, because the need for clean water provided is still lacking sufficient. From the results of the calculation of customer water needs in Lubuk Saung Village, there is still a water shortage of -84.708 m3. To meet the need for clean water in Lubuk Saung Village, an additional of water production must be made so that the initial water production of ½ hours must be 14 hours of flow.
