Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out what are the obstacles in the development of pineapple farming, calculate the income adn profit of pineapple farming in West Senuro Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir District. This research was conducted in the village of West Senuro, Tanjung Batu Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency from June 2020 to August 2020. The research method used in this research is survey method. The sampling method (deliberately). The data collection method used in this research is direct interview method with respondents, using the questionnaire tool that has been prepared in advance. Method of processing and data analysis using the method of editing, coding and tabulating to answer the first problem, namely about what are the obstacles in the development of pineapple farming used qualitative descriptive analysis. Then to calculate the amount of income and the level of profit using their respective formulas. The research showed that the obstacle in the development of pineapple farming in the village of west Senuro, sub-district of Tanjung Batu were factors of capital, labor, price and compotition with others fruits. The average income obtained by the sample farmers is IDR 44.992.000, while the R/C obtained by the sample farmers was 4,68 > 1, meaning that the pineapple farming carried out by the sample farmer was profitable.
