Abstract

RENDI JASMIAL. Income Comparison between Farmers Using Alsintan and Farmers Not Using Alsintan in Sungai Dua Village, Rambutan District (Supervised by SISVABERTI AFRIYATNA and RAHMAT KURNIAWAN). This study aims to look at the factors behind farmers who use alsintan and farmers who do not use alsintan in Sungai Dua village, rambutan sub-district and to find out how the difference in income between farmers using alsintan and farmers who do not use alsintan in Sungai Dua village, Rambutan district. This research was conducted in Sungai Dua village, Rambutan sub-district from November to February 2019. The research method used was a survey. While the sampling method used in this research is to answer the first problem formulation and the second problem formulation, namely the disproportionate stratified random smpling method which consists of two strata, the data analysis used is descriptive-qualitative analysis for the first problem formulation and quantitative descriptive for the second problem formulation. The results of the study show that. The factors behind farmers using alsintan and farmers not using alsintan, among others, are land area, limited number of alsintan, production costs and land type. The income received by rice farmers using alsintan is Rp. 30,511,849.43 expand the cultivation season or Rp. 25,161,388.5 per hectare per planting season, while the average income of rice farmers who do not use Alsintan is Rp. 20,060,280 to expand cultivation per season or Rp. 25,301,068.87 per hectare per season. In the t-test analysis, it was obtained that t count of 0.232 was smaller than t table of 1.697 with a significant value of 0.818 greater than α = 0.05, so accept Ho. This means, there is no significant difference in income between rice farmers who use alsintan and rice farmers who do not use Alsintan.
