Abstract

ABSTRACT Hospital wastewater is a source of pollutants for the environment that can have a negative impact. Hospital waste can contain a wide variety of microorganisms depending on the level of treatment performed before the waste is disposed of. Hospital wastewater can contain dangerous chemical compounds and contain pathogenic microorganisms that can cause disease and pollute the environment. Based on the Decree of the State Minister for the Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number KEP-58 / MENLH / 12/1995, regarding the quality standards of liquid waste for hospital activities, hospitals are required to provide facilities for managing both liquid and solid waste so that all waste to be discharged into public channels meet the quality standards stipulated in accordance with applicable regulations. The purpose of this research is to analyze the quantity of wastewater, namely the discharge and load of waste water pollution (BPM and BPA), to evaluate the results of the quality of WWTP when compared with the quality standards set by the government and to provide solutions or alternatives to existing problems, namely by recalculating the dimensions of WWTP. in order to produce processed products in accordance with the determined quality standards.
