Abstract
ABSTRACT This study the autohrs took silica fume and lime as a substitute for the mixtures. In this study, we will identifity the benefits of silica fume and lime as a substitute for cement in concrete. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using silica fume and lime as a substitute for cement on compressive ssstrength. The percentages of silica fume and lime used varied, from 10% silica fume and 0%, 2%, 6%, dan 10% lime. Concrete testing will be carried out after the concrete is 3 days, 7 days, 28 days. This study used a cube-shaped specimen with a size (15 cm X 15 cm X 15 cm) and as many as 45 specimens where for each variation there were 3 specimens. From research in the laboratory, it was found that the compressive strength of concrete at the age of 28 days with normal concrete conditions was 315,8 Kg/Cm² , at the beginning of the age of concrete, the highest value of the compressive strength of concrete is the use of 10% silica fume + 2% lime at 275,23 kg/cm2 with an increase of 53,09% to normal concrete. While the optimum increase occurred in the addition of 10% silica fume + 2% lime, its characteristic compressive strength was 363,52 kg/cm2 with an increase of 19,63% from normal concrete. After doing the research, it can be concluded that, with the addition of 10% silica fume + 2% lime, it can increase the compressive strength of concrete.
