Abstract
The use of plastic continues to increase from time to time, causing the amount of waste to increase. One of the serious problems facing Indonesia today is the accumulation of plastic waste which reaches 3.22 million tons per year, which cannot be properly managed. In this paper, the authors utilize HDPE plastic waste as the addition of coarse aggregate in concrete. The aim is to determine the normal compressive strength of concrete with the addition of artificial coarse aggregate from HDPE plastic and silica fume, to the compressive strength of K-225 concrete, which aims to determine the effect of adding artificial coarse aggregate made of plastic (HDPE) and the most optimal sillica fume for making concrete. K-225. From the results of the concrete compressive strength test at the age of 28 days with a variation of 0% coarse aggregate HDPE and Silica fume, 5% coarse aggregate HDPE + Silica Fume 9%, 10% coarse aggregate HDPE + Silica Fume 9%, and 15% coarse aggregate HDPE + Silica Fume 9%. In the Normal Concrete Variation + 10% HDPE Plastic Coarse Aggregate + 9% Silica Fume has the highest characteristic compressive strength value of 242.956 kg/cm2, while in the Normal Concrete variation + 15% HDPE Plastic Coarse Aggregate + 9% Silica Fume has a characteristic compressive strength value 205,958 kg/cm2
