Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF FLOOD ON THE STREET BANTEN II KELURAHAN SILABERANTI KECAMATAN SEBERANG ULU I PALEMBANG Yackub Kusuma Wardana Civil Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang yackubkusumawardana2020@gmail.com Abstract: Based on the results of observations and interviews that researchers have with residents in Banten II, it is stated that if the rain intensity is high or moderate for a period of about 2 hours, then the Banten II road in Silaberanti Village will be flooded or flooded. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the causes of flooding on Jalan Banten II, Silaberanti Village, Seberang Ulu I District, Palembang. The results showed that the drainage found in Jalan Banten II, Silaberanti Village, Seberang Ulu I Palembang District was not able to accommodate water discharge from high rain intensity and inadequate drainage dimensions. From the results of the analysis carried out on the sewer, field drainage 1, and field drainage 2, it is no longer able to drain the water discharge due to the intensity of rain, so a planned drainage channel is needed by widening the drainage system.
