Abstract
Defines the critical path method as a project management model that prioritizes costs as the object to be analyzed. The critical path method is a network analysis that seeks to optimize the total project cost by reducing the total project completion time. The use of the critical path method can save time in completing various stages of a project. The Office of Highways and Spatial Planning works to improve road quality. One of them is the Road Improvement Project for the Simpang Rambutan (Banyuasin) - Tulung Selapan (Ogan Ilir) road because the road conditions are damaged in several places with the intensity of road users who mostly use heavy vehicles, resulting in roads that are difficult to pass and travel time is getting worse long. From the analysis results obtained on the improvement of the Simpang Rambutan (Banyuasin) road the duration obtained in the analysis using the critical path method is 122 days, compared to the previous work, it was obtained 150 days. The difference is 28 days. The cost of adding 22 people is Rp. 9,401,774,079.33 with a difference of 0.13%. Keywords: Critical path method, project, analysis
