Abstract

The population growth spike must also be accompanied by the development of infrastructure to serve as a means for the community to meet their needs and carry out activities. The foundation is one of the main structures in the construction of an infrastructure, therefore the foundation must be really careful and attentive in planning and processing. In addition to the safe requirements that must be met, the foundation must also be efficient so that the budget in its manufacture and implementation can be minimized. The foundation of the Betung Ship Toll Ogan Bridge at Pier 15 is an interesting highlight for researchers in finding a foundation that is more efficient than the existing ones. Calculation of the bearing capacity of the foundation in order to get a safe foundation and calculation of the volume of the foundation in order to get an efficient foundation. One way of calculating the bearing capacity of the foundation is the Vesic empirical method, but now there is a software or application that adopts the Vesic empirical method which can make it easier for us to calculate the carrying capacity of the foundation using only N-SPT data and detailed foundation planning drawings. After obtaining several variations of the foundation with a safe depth, proceed with the calculation of the volume of efficiency of each variation to the existing volume. The results obtained from these calculations are the most efficient and safe foundation at Ø120 with a depth of 59.5 m and 35 pile points, the percentage difference between the volume and the existing is 12.5%.
