Abstract

LIBRARY SERVICE QUALITY ANALYSIS METHOD QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT (QFD) (Case study: Library of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Palembang) By Alghazali Muhammad Muhammadalghazali56@gmail.com Warristewe01@gmail.com Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Palembang Abstract.This study aims to determine the attributes of the library service is a priority based on the desire of students. The method used adalaha survey method to library services, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Muhammadiyah Palembang. Whether it is the desire nor the level of student satisfaction. In addition, researchers are also using interviews and observations to gain parameter technique is the answer to the wishes and expectations of the consumers in this case is a student. Furthermore, the attribute data services that are obtained from the students processed and analyzed by using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and matrix House Of Quality (HOQ).The conclusions from the analysis using QFD to attribute services library engineering faculty knowable 14 priority development and improvement are as follows: 1) Provide a suggestion box and criticism, 2) training of the employees of the library, 3) Socialization of student-related activities and information about the library, 4) accuracy of search computer with the state of books on the shelves, 5) addition of library materials (collections), 6) Improving the friendliness of employees, 7) additions and good security on the locker, 8) data collection and archiving of research or scientific journals, 9) the proper functioning of a computer with a good, 10) service cleanliness throughout the room library, 11) the room is roomy, quiet , air quality, good lighting, 12) Increasing internet speed, 13) ease of access in search of library materials,14) Considering the characteristics of library users.
