Abstract

MULKI AZMI. The Study of the Activities of Karang Taruna Members in the Cultivation of White Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) in Tanjung Raja Village, Muara Enim District, Muara Enim Regency (Guided by Rafeah Abubakar and Harniatun Iswarini). This research was conducted to find out the activities of Karang Taruna Members in the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms in Tanjung Raja Village, Muara Enim District, Muara Enim Regency and to find out the income earned and the system for income from the business. This research has been carried out in the Tanjung Raja Village, Muara Enim District, Muara Enim Regency from November 2019 to January 2020. The research method used in this study was a qualitative research method using case studies. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling, the respondents taken were 5 people, while the 5 people were Youth Members who carried out white oyster mushroom cultivation. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing is generally done by editing, coding, and tabulating. A methode of data analysis used to solve the first problem formulation is a descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, as for answering the problem’s formulation of a second problem used descriptive analysis with a mathematical approach. The results showed that the activities of Karang Taruna Members in the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms started from making kumbung/mushroom house, procuring baglogs, mushroom care, to harvesting mushrooms. The income obtained from the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms carried out by Karang Taruna Tunas Karya Tanjung Raja Village is Rp. -1,268,500, so there’s no income to share with the Karang Taruna Members involved.
