Abstract

ABSTRACT Biodiesel is a substitute for diesel fuel derived from vegetable raw materials because of the need for diesel oil in creased, among others for households, tranportasion and the industrial side, in minimizing waste cooking oli that disrupts and damages the evironment live event if it continues to be consumed will be harmful to health. The advantage of biodiesel compared to diesel is that biodiesel is more environmentally friendly while utilizing used oil from industrial waste, households, restaurants and fried food vendors is an alternative fuel that can be synthesized from udes cooking oil. In this study the comparison of oil an alkohol varied by five reactant samples added by adding a FCCU Base Chemical Al2O3 catalyst to the weight percent of oil at a certain amount to speed up the reaction. This process was carried out using a stirred autoclave (pumpkin neck) at a speed of about 280 rpm – 375 rpm time interval 10 minutes the fortage is taken to determinate the change of mill at each temperature rise of 50oC of constant 110oC. The value of activating power of the chemical reaction that controls the overall reaction speed will be obtained by means of the conversion.
