Abstract

ABSTRACT Concrete is the most important thing in a construction. Almost every aspect of development can not be separated from a concrete The development of concrete technology is increasing from time to time and the number of concrete users in the field of construction makes an effort to create good quality and economical concrete. One of them is difficult to be able to impervious to water perfectly , so that water can always be impregnated for that many types of additives are produced in order to make concrete impermeable to water, one of which is an additive additive He. Concrete K-400 is a concrete that is able to withstand a load of 400 kg / cm2. The purpose of this study is to compare the absorption of normal concrete water and concrete using additives additon H.e. without reducing the quality of the planned concrete. From the Water Absorption Analysis, concrete with added material Additon H.e is very influential on the water absorption of concrete. by adding ingredients Additon H.e 1%, 2%, 3%. Optimum water absorption is obtained in a normal concrete mixture + Additon H.e as much as 3% at the age of 7 days no longer experiencing water absorption. While the use of added ingredients Additon H.e also affects the compressive strength of concrete. with percentages of 1%, 2%, and 3%. In normal concrete the result is 414.1 kg / cm2 at 28 days, then add additive addition he as much as 1% to get the value of an increase of 430.6 kg / cm2 at 28 days, after adding additive addition he 2% then obtained value of an increase of 440.4 kg / cm2 at 28 days, and the addition of additive addition he asmuch as 3%, the quality of concrete has increased with a value of 472.2 kg/cm2.
