Abstract

This study aims to find out about the Local Government Financial Performance Comparison District / City of South Sumatra Province. The research data were used, namely the remaining budget (SiLPA) consisting of four counties and four cities of Musi Banyuasin, Ogan Komering Ulu, Empat Lawang and Lahat and then Palembang, Prabumulih, Lubuk Linggau and Pagaralam. The method used is testing the hypothesis by using independent sample t test models. From the results of the analysis showed that there was no effect of the financial performance of the district with the town in the province of South Sumatra. Excess SiLPA large enough to indicate that the Government is not appropriate in budgeted expenditure budgeting area so that the excess should be used to finance capital expenditure of some activities that are useful for the provision of public services in the current year to be less effective. On the other hand SiLPA can also be used as a reception area in the coming year financing for SiLPA is one of the main sources of financing reception area. Keywords: Performance, Finance, and SiLPA
