Abstract

ABSTRACT The hospital is a service institution that provides individual health services in a complete manner providing inpatient and emergency services. In carrying out daily activities the hospital is in dire need of the availability of clean water needs that are used by employees, patients, who come to the hospital. Palembang Muhammadiyah Hospital is one of the hospitals that uses its water needs sourced from the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) for use by employees, patients, and visitors who come to the hospital. With so many patients and visitors coming the quality and quantity of clean water must be maintained. The results of the analysis and calculation of the total maximum clean water needs at the hospital is 153.560 liters, while the available reservoir capacity is 97,400 liters. Based on the calculation of the availability of water it can only suffice 63.43 %, meaning that the shortage of clean water is 36.57 %. To anticipate the leakage of the pipe added 10% of the water needs for the reservoir volume, the planned volume of reservoir capacity is 180.000 liters.
