Abstract

The Effect Of Using Zeolite Advera Synthesis® 401 and Napthalene as an addition of the mixture to the compressive strength of concrete K- 350 Gusti Fahmi Riadi Faculty, Civil Engineering , Muhammadiyah University Palembang Abstract Concrete constituent materials have different characteristics and functions and also affect to each other’s. Compressive strength of concrete is the main indicator in assessing the quality of concrete. Zeolite Advera Synthesis® 401 and Napthalene as an addition are expected to achieve tahe quality of the planned concrete, namely K – 350, because zeolite looks like pozzolan and napthalene is superplasticizer. This research arms to determine normal concrete and normal concrete with addition ingredients zeolite and naphtalene are reviewed by compressive strength of concrete. This research is using experiment method with 45 test object, test object are consist of concrete without addition ingredients as a comparison, Zeolite Advera Synthesis® 401 as an addition ingredient 0,25% , 0,50% , 0,75% and 1% to the weight of the cement. And also napthalene is superplasticizer as an addition ingredients up to 2% to the weight of the cement. Every type of concrete mix is made into 9 test object. The test object used is concrete cube of size 15 × 15 × 15 cm, planned concrete quality is K – 350 kg⁄cm 2. Compressive test carried out at age 3, 14 and 28 days. From this compressive strenght of concrete research the optimum Zeolite Advera Synthesis® 401 were obtained at the use of 0,5% and napthalene were obtained at the use of 2% with compressive strength of 414,12 kg⁄cm 2 at age 28 days. So it can be concluded if Zeolite Advera Synthesis® 401 and napthalene are good to use for coment substitution in concrete.
