Abstract

This study the author took Rice Husk Ash and Lime as ingredients added to the concrete mixture. In this study, we will identify the benefits of rice husk ash and lime as cement additives in concrete. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding rice husk ash and lime as cement additives on concrete compressive strength. The percentage of rice husk ash and lime used varied, starting from 5% rice husk ash and 0% lime, 5% rice husk ash and 3% lime, 5% rice husk ask and 5% lime, 5% rice husk ash and 7% lime, and 5% rice husk ash and 10% lime. Concrete testing will be carried out after the concrete is 28 days after first curing. This study uses cube-shaped specimens of size (15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm) and as many as 18 specimens where for each variation as many as 3 specimens. After conducting research, it can be concluded that, after added 5% rice husk ash and 10% lime have ideal concrete compressive strength which was 318,83 kg/cm² approaching to concrete normal. Keywords: Rice Husk Ash, lime, Concrete, Compressive Strength.
