Abstract

Traffic is traffic activities or the movement of vehicles, people, or animals on the road. The problem faced in traffic is the balance between road capacity and the number of vehicles and people passing by using the road. If the road capacity is almost saturated, let alone exceeded, what happens is traffic congestion. Especially in the school happy zone (ZoSS). The school safe zone is a government program that is used to protect road users, especially in schools on highways with heavy traffic volumes. The purpose of this school safe zone is to protect road users to be careful in driving using speed-based time. In data retrieval carried out by reviewing the field directly, the data consists of daily traffic, speed, delivery behavior and crossing. The results of the study were obtained from the total daily traffic on the road to lieutenant Muchtar Saleh Agung Kayu for five days is 779.2 pcu / hour. the average speed data on the road for 5 days is (-18.73, --21.6, -26.78, -20.06, -27.02) which is categorized as unsaved because (Zhit<Ztabel) the value of Ztabel = 1.645. The level of service for Lieutenant Muchtar Saleh's road precisely in front of SMAN 1 Kayu Agung is B with a road capacity of 3041.52 comparison value (V / C) 0.236.
