Abstract

Sukanegeri Village is one of the villages located in West Semendawai District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. Sukanegeri village has sufficient land for agricultural land. The agricultural land in this village still relies on rain water for irrigation. Therefore, the obstacle that is often experienced by farmers in this village is the lack of water supply to meet the needs of rice fields optimally. The initial step of this study, which is calculating potential daily and monthly evapotranspiration, then calculates the effective monthly bulk. From monthly effective rainfall, cropping patterns can be determined in Sukanegeri Village. Then calculate the water debit needed for paddy fields during the preparation of land and water needed for rice and secondary crops. The cropping pattern that can be applied in Sukanegeri Village is by planting Rice - Palawija – Rice. From the results of the study, it was found that the highest water demand at the time of processing the land was 0.87 m³/sec. While the water requirements needed for rice and secondary crops ranged from 0.07 m³ / sec - 0.68 m³/sec. Keywords: Rain-fed rice fields, effective rainfall, potential evapotranspiration, water requirements.
