Abstract

This research was conducted in the laboratory of PT. Graha Tekindo Utama Palembang.This research focuses on making porous concrete where the superiority of porous concrete from normal concrete is that porous concrete can absorb standing water above it, which is reversed with normal concrete because normal concrete leaves standing water above, this concrete is very useful for urban areas, especially to overcome flooding often faced in big cities in Indonesia. Porous concrete mixture consists of cement, water, coarse aggregate and a little addition of fine aggregate but in this study porous concrete does not use sedated sand. Additional chemicals are made in 3 variations of concrete mix, for type 1 concrete mix add Polycarboxylate 1%,mixture 2 materials polycarboxylate 1.5% and the last ingredient added with Polycarboxylate 2%. The test object is a concrete cube with a diameter of 15 x 15 x 15 cm. The number of specimens for each mixture variation was 9 specimens and a total of 36 specimens included normal porous concrete for comparison of compressive strength of concrete. The results of this study concluded that the normal porous concrete showed an average compressive strength at the age of 3 days at 48.36 (kg / cm²), 7 days 58.48 (kg / cm²), 28 days 67.55 (kg / cm²) , concrete with an Polycarboxylate 1% compressedaverage age of 3 days is 59.39 (Kg / Cm²), 7 days 73.67 (Kg / Cm²), 28 days 85.45 (Kg / Cm²),concrete mix Polycarboxylate 1, 5% of the average press at the age of 3 days amounted to 62.26 (Kg / Cm²), 7 days 77.37 (Kg / Cm²), 28 days 95.96 (Kg / Cm²), concrete mix Polycarboxylate 2% flat press the average age of 3 days is 65.73 (Kg / Cm²), 7 days 81.60 (Kg / Cm²), 28 days 107.59 (Kg / Cm²), and this Concrete can be applied to Sidewalk with compressive strength 107, 59 (Kg / Cm²) K-100 concrete quality.
