Abstract

The irrigation network is the channel, structure and supplementary structure which is an integral and necessary to the supply, the distribution, administration, use, and disposal of irrigation water. Irrigation plays an important role in increasing crop productivity. Irrigation plays a role in providing and arranging water for irrigating farmland. To get a good agricultural output and productivity required maximum crop irrigation good condition. Good irrigation channel can seen from the water loss that is not too big in irrigation networks. Water loss that occurs in the irrigation channel can affect the efficiency of the water needs required by the plant. This research is in the area of irrigation canals Sub-Secondary Kerta Negara District of Madang Suku II kabupaten OKU Timur. This study aims to determine at the rice field water needs. Calculating the amount of irrigation water needs was conducted by FJ Mock, from the analysis of the irrigation water needs magnitude of discharge obtained mainstay. The discharge measurements known from the efficiency of the irrigation channel. Based on research debit mainstay of 82.15 m3 / s and water demand by 0.84 lt / dt / ha. Early planting is done in November with rice-rice cropping pattern-crops. 67.91% secondary network efficiency and effectiveness of the irrigation sub-Secondary State Kerta by 46.31% Keywords: Water Needs Analysi, Mainstay Discharge, Efficiency, Effectiveness.
