Abstract

This study aims to identify the location, extent and type of vegetation in open green space in the Seberang Ulu II Subdistrict, Palembang, South Sumatra and find out the broad percentage of open green open space in the Seberang Ulu II sub-district of Palembang, South Sumatra. Research starts from June 2018 to August 2018 using the vegetation analysis method (Anveg) type of census and purposive sampling or deliberate sampling. Vegetation analysis was carried out by census for green open space which had an area of less than 20,000m2, while the area of open green space more than 20,000m2 of vegetation analysis was carried out by sampling as much as 5% and the type identification was carried out by making 20x20m2 plots. Based on the results of the research, the open green area of Seberang Uiu II Palembang Subdistrict is 200,927.3 m2, while the area of RTH based on the Palembang PRKP data in Seberang Ulu II District is 140,723.3 m2. The measurement data of the researchers had a difference of 60,204 m2 with data from the Palembang PRKP. Seberang Ulu II Sub-district has green open space of 1.88%. The area of open green space does not yet meet the minimum area of open green space based on Law No. 26 of 2007 in Article 29 Paragraph (2) of 30% and Article 29 Paragraph (3) of 20%. The location of Patra Jaya open green space in Seberang Ulu II Kota District has the largest open space with an area of 137,500 m2 and the smallest green open space in Taman 16 Ulu Island which has 43.3 m2 green open space. Mango plants (Pterocarpus indicus), trembesi (Albizia saman), oil palm (Elaeis guineensisJacq.), Glodogantiang (Polyathea longifolia) and palm (Mascarenasp) with the highest number of INP and the highest number of stems including plants that have requirements as plant species must be planted in RTHRTH locations in Indonesia, including in Palembang City. The plants that are left and right of the road with the highest number in Seberang Ulu II District Palembang are angsana trees (Pterocarpus indicus) and plants commonly planted in the median of the road in Seberang Ulu II Palembang District are glodogantiang (Polyathea longifolia) Keywords : Potential Existence of Green Space, Broad Percentage of Green Space And Important Value Index
