Abstract

ABSTRACT In this undergraduate thesis, the writer looking for additionalthick pavement layer on the road of Palembang-Betung at Betung’s sub-district. Banyuasin is one of the districts in South Sumatra Province and on the east highway and the central government is on Pangkalan Balai. In Indonesia, highway holds an important role in society such as for economic, social, culture, and other activities. The research about additional thick pavement layer on the road of Palembang-Betung at Betung’s sub-district. This research conducted by surveying the extent of damage and its type, also with ADT surveying. From the results of the research obtained, additional thick pavement layer on the road of Palembang-Betung at Betung’s sub-district is 3.5 cm. for the type of damage that occurs is hollow with total 556m2 (1.98%), crocodile skin with 512 m2 (1.83%), patch 436m2 (1.56%), edge cracks 365 (1.30%), fine cracks 248m2 (248%), collapse 98m2 (0.35%).
