Abstract

Abstract Retention pool in the village of 10 ilir Palembang city serves as a rainwater reservoir. Decreased river flow capacity and inlet retention ponds (inlets) due to the accumulation of waste from surrounding communities as well as sludge deposits or sedimentation leads to reduced capacity of the river. Retention pond is a pool where waste water entering the pond is flowed into the river. During the rain, the floodgates out of the pond are closed and the water around the pond is flowed into the pond. Then after the rain has subsided and the sewer is empty, the floodgates are opened so that water from the pond can flow to the canal which then leads to the river. Based on the results of the research, the total capacity of retention pond inlet is 134,258 m3 / det volume of retention ponds in the village of 10 ilir ilir timur II sub-district of Palembang at 41,850 m3 and the inlet capacity is 99,8692.2 m3 / sec so that the retention pool will flood for more from 1.06 hours.
