Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Competence, Training, and Career Development on Employee Performance at PT Musi Hutan Persada, both simultaneously and partially. This study employed a quantitative research design, with Competence, Training, and Career Development as independent variables and Employee Performance as the dependent variable. The research sample consisted of 306 employees of PT Musi Hutan Persada. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and supported by secondary data obtained from company documents and relevant literature. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination, F-test, and t-test. The results show that Competence and Training have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, while Career Development does not have a significant partial effect on Employee Performance. Simultaneously, Competence, Training, and Career Development have a significant effect on Employee Performance. The analysis produced an R value of 0.877 and an R Square value of 0.769, indicating that the three independent variables jointly explain 76.9% of the variation in Employee Performance. The F-test produced a significance value of 0.000, indicating that the regression model is statistically significant. The partial test results showed significance values of 0.000 for Competence, 0.010 for Training, and 0.588 for Career Development. These findings imply that efforts to improve employee performance should prioritize strengthening employee competence and improving the quality of training, while the career development system needs to be further clarified and integrated with employee competence and performance.
