Abstract
Aliran air yang konstan dapat menjaga kuantitas volume air menuju pipa pesat yang disalurkan ke turbin. Suplai aliran air ini, akan mempengaruhi ketersediaan volume fluida dan daya available untuk menjamin keberlangsungan operasional PLTMH 5 kW di Madrasah Jamiyah Al-Muawanah. Penelitian ini berfokus pada perhitungan luasan kolam tando sebagai penampung air dengan ketersediaan volume fluida pada kolam tando dengan menyelaraskan antara daya available berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dimensi kolam tando dan keseimbangan debit surplus dan defisit (Q+ dan Q-). Data diperoleh mengunakan metode kuantitatif yaitu pengumpulan data harian, dimensi kolam tando, tinggi jatuh efektif, serta analisis perhitungan volume, debit rata-rata harian, debit surplus dan debit defisit, kecepatan aliran, luas penampang, daya available, daya turbin, data generator, dan load factor. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut menunjukkan volume efektif kolam tando mampu untuk menjaga volume air pada kondisi normal, sedangkan pada kondisi debit rendah terjadi defisit volume fluida kolam tando. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa daya available sebesar 22,72 kW melebihi kapasitas desain PLTMH 5 kW, debit rata-rata 1,781 m3/det, dan volume kolam tando 496800 m3. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebutuhan air untuk memenuhi konsumsi beban harian pada pengoperasian PLTMH 5 kW dinilai layak sebagai solusi energi baru terbarukan yang dapat diakses di pelosok pedesaan dengan memanfaatkan aliran sungai kecil. This study focuses on the available on the available fluid volume in the forebay by balancing the available power derived from forebay dimension calculations againts the discharge equilibrium (surplus and defisit) Q+ and Q-. Data were obtained using quantitative methods, including the collection of daily records, forebay dimensiones, and effective head, a long side calculationa of volume, average daily debit, surplus debit and deficit debit, flow velocity, cross-sectional area, available power, turbine power, generator power, and load factor. The results indicate that the forebay’s effective volume is sufficient to mantain water supply under normal conditions, whereas a fluid volume dificit occurs during low-discharge conditions. The study found an available power of 22,72 kW exceeding the 5 kW micro-hdyro power plant’s design capacity, an average discharge of 1,781 m3/s, and a forebay volume of 496800 m3. consequently, it is concluded that the water supply meets the daily load requirements for the 5 kW micro-hydro plant, demonstrating its viabilityas a renewable energy solution for remote rural areas utilizing small river flows.
