Abstract
Penelitianinimenganalisispengaruhkecepatanalirandanluaspenampangsaluran terhadap debit air, serta pengaruh debit air terhadap daya yang dihasilkan dalam perencanaan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH) di Madrasah JamiyahAl-Muawanah,DesaSegamit,KecamatanSemendeDaratUlu,Kabupaten Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan. Kecepatan aliran diukur menggunakan current meter (flowatch FL-3.1) pada empat titik penampang saluran dengan sepuluh kali pengulangan, sementara luas penampang diperoleh dari pengukuran lebar dan kedalaman saluran. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan kecepatan aliran 0,15 m/sdan luaspenampang1,44m²,sehinggadebitairmelaluipersamaankontinuitasQ=A× v mencapai 0,216 m³/s. Dengan tinggi jatuh efektif 3,05 m, daya hidrolik tersedia sebesar 7,54 kW. Melalui dua tahap konversi, yaitu efisiensi turbin dan generator masing-masing 0,8, diperoleh daya turbin 6,46 kW dan daya generator akhir 4,13 kW, dengan efisiensi total sistem 0,64. Daya ini termasuk skala mikrohidro dan mampu memenuhi sebagian kebutuhan listrik dasar madrasah. Sebagai analisis tambahan,kecepatandanluaspenampangpipaturutdibandingkandengansaluran, menunjukkan kecepatan pipa lebih tinggi (3,15 m/s) namun luas penampangnya jauhlebihkecilsehinggadebitnyatetaplebihrendahdibandingsaluran.Temuanini diharapkan menjadi acuan perencanaan saluran pembawa yang efisien untuk PLTMH skala kecil. This study analyzes the effect of flow velocity andchannel cross-sectional areaon waterdischarge,aswellastheeffectofwaterdischargeonthepowergeneratedin the design of a Micro-Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) at Madrasah Jamiyah Al-Muawanah, Segamit Village, Semende Darat Ulu Subdistrict, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. Flow velocity was measured using a current meter (Flowatch FL-3.1) at four points across the channel cross-section with ten repetitions, while the cross-sectional area was obtained from measurements of channel width and depth. The measurement results showed a flow velocity of 0.15 m/s and a cross-sectional area of 1.44 m², so that the water discharge calculated through the continuity equation Q = A × v reached 0.216 m³/s. With an effective headof3.05m,theavailablehydraulicpowerwas7.54kW.Throughtwostagesof conversion—turbineandgeneratorefficienciesof0.8each—aturbinepowerof 6.46kWandafinalgeneratorpowerof4.13kWwereobtained,withatotalsystem efficiencyof0.64.Thispowerfallswithinthemicro-hydroscaleandisabletomeet part of the madrasah's basic electricity needs. As an additional analysis, the velocity andcross-sectional areaof the pipe were alsocomparedwiththose of the channel,showingthatthepipevelocitywashigher(3.15m/s),butitscross-sectional area was much smaller, so that its discharge remained lower than that of the channel. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the design of efficient headrace channels for small-scale PLTMH systems.
