Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air irigasi pada Daerah Irigasi Desa Talang Pangeran Ilir, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Penelitian dilakukan karena ketersediaan air yang semakin menurun menyebabkan pelayanan irigasi belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan lahan pertanian secara optimal. Analisis ketersediaan air dilakukan menggunakan metode F.J. Mock untuk memperoleh debit andalan (Q80), sedangkan kebutuhan air irigasi dihitung berdasarkan komponen curah hujan efektif, evapotranspirasi, kebutuhan penyiapan lahan, serta kebutuhan air selama masa pertumbuhan tanaman. Selain itu, dilakukan pengukuran debit aliran di saluran tersier menggunakan metode apung sebagai data pendukung penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai debit andalan (Q80) rata-rata sebesar 0,154 m³/det, sedangkan potensi debit pada saluran irigasi tersier sebesar 0,15 m³/det untuk melayani lahan pertanian seluas 260 ha. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa pada periode tertentu masih terjadi ketidakseimbangan antara ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air irigasi sehingga diperlukan upaya pengelolaan distribusi air yang lebih efektif agar pasokan air ke lahan pertanian tetap terjaga selama musim tanam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan ketersediaan air irigasi di Daerah Irigasi Desa Talang Pangeran Ilir masih perlu ditingkatkan untuk menjamin kontinuitas pelayanan irigasi. Salah satu alternatif yang direkomendasikan adalah pembangunan embung sebagai tampungan air pada saat debit sungai berlebih sehingga cadangan air dapat dimanfaatkan ketika terjadi enjadi pada musim tanam. Dengan adanya embung, diharapkan distribusi air menuju petak-petak tersier enjadi lebih stabil, kebutuhan air tanaman dapat terpenuhi secara optimal, serta produktivitas pertanian dapat terus meningkat. This study aims to analyze the availability and demand for irrigation water in the Talang Pangeran Ilir Village Irrigation Area, Ogan Ilir Regency. The study was conducted because the decreasing water availability has caused irrigation services to be unable to optimally meet the needs of agricultural land. The analysis of water availability was carried out using the F.J. Mock method to obtain the mainstay discharge (Q80), while the irrigation water demand was calculated based on the components of effective rainfall, evapotranspiration, land preparation needs, and water needs during the plant growth period. In addition, the flow discharge measurement in the tertiary channel was carried out using the float method as supporting data for the study. The results showed that the average mainstay discharge (Q80) was 0.154 m³/s, while the potential discharge in the tertiary irrigation channel was 0.15 m³/s to serve 260 ha of agricultural land. The results of the analysis showed that in certain periods there was still an imbalance between the availability and demand for irrigation water, so that more effective water distribution management efforts were needed to ensure the water supply to agricultural land was maintained during the planting season. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that irrigation water management in the Talang Pangeran Ilir Village Irrigation Area still needs to be improved to ensure continuity of irrigation services. One recommended alternative is the construction of a reservoir to store water during times of excessive river discharge, allowing water reserves to be utilized during the planting season. With the reservoir, it is hoped that water distribution to tertiary plots will be more stable, plant water needs can be optimally met, and agricultural productivity can continue to increase.
