Abstract

Pematang Kasih Village, Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, faces challenges in meeting clean water demands due to population growth and limited water resources. This study aims to analyze and predict the demand and availability of clean water up to the year 2029 as a basis for sustainable water resource management planning. he methods used in this study include population projection using geometric and arithmetic methods, as well as analysis of clean water demand consisting of domestic demand, non-domestic demand, and water losses. The data used include primary data obtained through field surveys and bore well discharge measurements, as well as secondary data such as population data and regional conditions. The selection of the projection method is based on the smallest standard deviation value. The results show that the geometric method is the most suitable for projecting population growth due to its lowest standard deviation value. The projections indicate a continuous increase in population, which leads to a rise in clean water demand. The total clean water demand in Pematang Kasih Village is projected to increase steadily until 2029. In conclusion, the increasing demand for clean water due to population growth must be balanced with effective and sustainable water resource management. Therefore, proper planning in clean water supply is required to ensure that community needs can be optimally fulfilled in the future.
