Abstract

Sexual harassment is a long-standing crime and has been a focus of public attention due to the increasing number of cases each year. Sexual harassment against women is usually verbal, involving written or verbal acts. Generally, sexual harassment has different perspectives for men and women. Some men may view actions that weaken women as mere jokes. However, for women, even jokes can be detrimental to themselves. The research problem in this study is how to regulate legal protection for women as victims of sexual harassment and how to regulate legal protection for women as victims of sexual harassment.This research method uses a normative research method, often called library research. Normative research is a library research that describes and elaborates on all existing problems using information sources from various books, theses, journals, and so on. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques by collecting, classifying, and reviewing various literature related to the problem. The results of this study indicate that, first, legal protection arrangements for women as victims of sexual harassment are fundamentally aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of victims' rights, providing a sense of security, and ensuring justice and comprehensive recovery. This protection is realized through various laws and regulations governing victims' rights to assistance, physical protection, temporary living assistance, psychological assistance, psychosocial rehabilitation, and medical assistance. Second, the victimology perspective on the role of women as victims of sexual harassment is that, regardless of the type, role, or social background, victims are still viewed as legally innocent parties or individuals who suffer because of the perpetrator's actions.
